Junaid Ahmed is the founder of Strategy Legal. He has extensive experience in mergers & acquisitions, private equity investments, venture capital investments, and related documentation and negotiation, legal due diligence of companies across sectors, having represented both investors and investee companies.
He has advised a variety of domestic and international clients in the e-commerce, fintech, non-banking finance, power, and insurance sectors on fund raising, mergers and acquisitions, structuring, exits, and exchange control regulations.
He has previously worked at renowned law firms in India. In his most recent role, he was a part of the legal team of a large and well-regarded renewable energy company headquartered in Telangana, India, where apart from routinely advising the commercial teams on high value commercial contracts including power purchase contracts, EPC contracts, operations and maintenance contracts, he also offered counsel and support to the management teams, from time to time, on risk mitigation strategies and on dispute resolution strategies.
Farha Sultana is a senior tax advisor at Strategy Legal. She is a Chartered Accountant with more than 13 years of post-qualification experience in direct taxation, specializing in tax litigation and advisory. She routinely advises clients on matters in relation to cross border taxation viz withholding tax obligation on Royalty, Fee for Technical Services, Interest, Capital Gains, dividends, establishment of PE in India and POEM analysis. She also represents clients before the ITAT, DRP, Settlement Commission and the CIT(A) on various Income tax matters and has handled assessments, re-assessments proceedings, TDS and other income tax assessment proceedings.
She has previously worked at Price Waterhouse & Co LLP, BMR Associates LLP and Manohar Chowdhary and Associates.
